Peter is highly regarded as a legend throughout the sporting world and is arguably the finest goalkeeper ever to play for England. Whilst playing for England, Peter earned a record 125 international caps, a feat which no England player has come close to matching since.
His playing career saw him win the PFA player of the year in the 1977-78 season, two consecutive European Cups whilst playing with Nottingham Forest under Brian Clough and has earned the honour of receiving both an MBE and OBE for services to football.
After his retirement in 1990, Peter was awarded the Order of Merit by the PFA and in 2002, in recognition of his impact on the English game as one of the greatest English goalkeepers ever; Peter was made an inaugural inductee of the English Football Hall of Fame.
Recently he has appeared in Lets Dance for Sports Relief, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and the hit BBC celebrity talent show Strictly Come Dancing, where he quickstepped and waltzed alongside a host of fellow celebrities. Peter has also forged strong relationships with well recognised brands such as; E.On, Carlsberg, Nationwide and Tesco.
Peter has carved out a new and just as successful career for himself as an experienced speaker who addresses both corporate and sporting audiences alike. This, added to his impeccable reputation in the world of sport, led to him acting as an Official Ambassador for the 2018 World Cup.
He will now be busy in the time leading up to the EURO 2012 Championships in Ukraine and Poland.
