An imposing amateur record saw Graeme play in the victorious Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup side of 1999, which was also the year he won the Amateur Championship. As a result of this victory, he then went on to play in the 2000 Masters Tournament, making history at Augusta National when he became the first player to have his mother caddie for him in the tournament.

Graeme turned professional in 2000 but struggled to establish himself on The European Tour, which resulted in him working in a cake factory in his native Hartlepool over the winter months to make ends meet.

After resurrecting his golf career with a positive attitude and consistent hard work, he established himself as one of The European Tour's top players in 2007, thanks to a brilliant season where he not only won his maiden title in the Open de France ALSTOM, but also notched a dozen other top 20 finishes in an impressively consistent year.

Last season saw Graeme finish 101st in the Race to Dubai 2011. He ended the season with earnings of 311,308 Euros having played 31 tournaments and is looking to build on that success this year, especially after finishing 30th in Abu Dhabi at the HSBC Championship in his first event of the 2012 season.
